How is it so common to do procrastination in our lives?

Procrastination is the act of unnecessarily and voluntarily postponing decisions or action despite knowing that there will be negative consequences for doing it as suggested by Wikipedia.

By psychological perspective, the pleasure principle can be the main responsible for it, because we prefer to avoid negative emotions by delaying stressful tasks. And the measurable cognitive impairments can play a role for it, because as the deadline is coming the procrastination grows closer, then it generates more stress for the person, thus he or she decides to procrastinate more to avoid this stress.

Some tips to avoid procrastination are set small goals and organize your tasks, focus your attention removing distractions, and finally forgive yourself.
